The Grey-fronted Dove Leptotila rufaxilla is a large New World tropical dove. It is a resident breeder in eastern South America from Colombia south to northeast Argentina and Uruguay. The form L. r. hellmayrii breeds in Trinidad, although it has also been recorded on neighbouring areas of Venezuela.

Officially, the parliament, the Supreme People's Assembly (; Choego Inmin Hoeui), is the highest organ of state power. Its 687 members are elected every four years by popular vote, although these elections are non-competitive and in practice ceremonial. Usually it holds only two annual meetings, each lasting a few days, but it mostly ratifies decisions made by the ruling KWP. A standing committee elected by the Assembly performs legislative functions when the Assembly is not in session.

Tim Anderson, a member of the Ananda Marga sect, was jailed for the 13 February 1978 bombing of the Sydney Hilton hotel in an episode known as the Hilton Bombing. He was released in 1985 and pardoned.
